Avid Demo Digital Nirvana’s Metadata Automation Tool For Avid Ecosystem At IBC 2023

During IBC 2023, Avid is demonstrating Digital Nirvana’s MetadataIQ metadata automation tool for news, sports, and entertainment customers relying on the Avid ecosystem. Attendees are invited to the Avid stand where the team will showcase how MetadataIQ transparently generates metadata within the Avid MediaCentral interface.

MetadataIQ applies Digital Nirvana’s AI and machine learning expertise to Avid workflows to auto-generate transcripts and video intelligence metadata on live and historical assets. The tool then time-indexes this metadata as markers along with the corresponding media assets within Avid MediaCentral. This automated process of metadata generation and integration allows Avid producers and editors to accelerate the identification, search, and retrieval of critical media assets while reducing the time, effort, and complexity of delivering finished content.

MetadataIQ is purpose-built to enhance media production efficiencies and the organization of media libraries. By bringing automatic, time-indexed transcripts into Avid as markers, MetadataIQ will make it possible for every user to easily search, navigate, and find content faster. Computer-vision-based metadata, such as OCR or face recognition, will help provide additional context on a specific search or topic. Logo identification metadata will give sales teams more accurate data on product visibility during programming. Topic-based segmentation and automatic title generation capabilities will help news broadcasters to easily identify all topics discussed within a raw news feed without having to watch/listen to the whole feed. Those capabilities can also automatically create chapter markers or episode synopses in podcasting or similar programming.
