DHD Demonstrate Latest Advances In Broadcast Audio Production At IBC 2023

Highlights of the DHD exhibit will be the new XS3 IP Core processor and an enhanced version of the XD3 IP Core. Also on show will be examples of DHD mixing and production consoles which are available in a wide choice of formats and sizes.

NEW: DHD XS3 IP Core audio processor
Compact digital processors form the heart of every DHD system, connecting control surfaces located in multiple studios or post-production suites within a specific site. They also perform input/output routing and interfacing with the outside world. IP audio feeds as well as IP-connected remote device control can be closely integrated. Automated workflows and product virtualisation are also supported.

Making its premier show appearance, the XS3 IP Core audio processor supports up to 20 stereo faders on DHD audio mixing consoles. Occupying just 1U of rack space, it allows fast and easy configuration. An integral setup assistant tool allows a system supervisor to choose between default settings with a choice of assignable-button functions and display layouts. More advanced settings can be selected using DHD’s Toolbox configuration software which can be activated via an optional license.

ENHANCED: DHD XD3 IP Core audio processor with quad-core CPU and Thimeo Audio Technology Stereo Tool integration
The DHD XD3 IP Core is designed for use with mixing systems incorporating up to 96 stereo audio faders in broadcast studio environments, plus 10,240 x 12,288 channel routing. The latest version has a quad-core CPU capable of running additional features such as Thimeo Audio Technology’s Stereo Tool as a fully integrated option. A demo version is included in each quad-core-equipped XD3 IP Core.

Already in use by over 3,000 broadcast stations around the world and thousands of streaming stations, Stereo Tool incorporates a wide range of production capabilities. These include the ability to repair audio distortion, hum removal, dynamic filters and enhancers and audio processing. XD3 connectivity options available include Audinate Dante, AES67/RAVENNA, AES3/EBU, Gigabit Audio, APC, MADI and analogue.
