Clients choose from three main services: Global Media Networks; made up of high quality, highly dependable and expansive distributed media and internet contribution and distribution global networks; Managed Services, providing a cloud-native production platform and services with end-to-end playout and streaming solutions; and Professional Services, proven teams with expertise in media, networking, events, operations, cloud and cyber security.
Under Managed Services, the company offers its Media Production Platform, a fully managed elastic software-based service that enables live production, playout automation, asset management, signal processing and master switching from the cloud or location of your choice.
Telstra Broadcast Services can seamlessly connect this Media Production platform to its global, media centric fiber networks, satellite services or internet services for all your media contribution and distribution requirements.
Using the power of elastic compute many applications in the production and broadcast chain can become cloud hosted and remotely driven. The platform is powered by Grass Valley’s GV AMPP as the application layer with Telstra’s media connectivity and managed services overlaid on top.
Telstra Playout can deliver the efficient end-to-end operations for pass through, fully curated or advertising and interstitial insert channels. As a software-based solution, this service can remove the need for the specialist playout operations hardware that are required in on-premise operations. The service is highly flexible and scalable to deal with multiple channel operations and the needs of Disaster Recovery (DR) business continuity in a crisis.
