BBright Teams With MainConcept To Expand The Scope Of Its Integrated Playout And Production Servers

BBright, a specialist in advanced media and broadcast processing and technologies, has partnered with MainConcept, a global technology leader in the video codec industry, to integrate its real time broadcast encoding engine into its production servers and integrated playout solutions.

BBright's live production and broadcast solutions now support recording capabilities up to Ultra HD and expand the reach of their markets. Now able to record an even wider variety of video feeds, either in SDI or ST-2110, as well as in XAVC and other formats, BBright production and playout solutions can address many applications in the media industry: from OB trucks and live production sites, up to broadcast master control rooms and playout centers. BBright's purely software-based approach offers great flexibility in terms of codec and format support, and above all the ability to evolve in the future to meet new customer needs.

Capable of recording 4 HD streams or 1 UHD stream, the BBright production server manages SDI and 2110 inputs and outputs, as well as live SDR/HDR UHD conversions to cover the most demanding requirements. For its part, the integrated BBright playout also supports multi-channel HD and Ultra HD, and with its graphics engine and SDR/HDR conversion capacity, it provides an effective playout solution capable of covering current HD needs, but also provide a natural evolution towards future Ultra HD deployments.

Integrating the MainConcept AVC/H.264 Broadcast Encoder SDK into the BBright solution empowers BBright with one of the best performing and efficient software encoders in the market today while leaving plenty of options to expand for future workloads.
