JCA Media Selects LynTec Power Control

JCA Media selected LynTec panels to power broadcast studio.
LynTec is the power control solutions provider of choice for Campbellsville University in Campbellsville, Kentucky.
Integration firm JCA Media installed LynTec’s RPC Remote Control Breaker Panel to provide circuit-level zoned control of the AVL systems for the school’s broadcast studios.
“We consistently use the company’s LCRP retrofit boxes for churches that are changing out their old-school dimming systems to LED, where they need be able to have DMX relays to turn off their circuits,” said Alex Peake, integration specialist at JCA Media. “LynTec has always been a great solution for us. It’s 100% reliable and they have great customer support that always takes the time to walk me through any questions I might have. It was the perfect answer for the university’s TV studio.”
The lighting installation for the two studios included Light Source Megabatten light grids, giving the large studio 22 circuits in the ceiling and 16 circuits for the small studio. Once JCA put in plugs on the walls, house lights, and installed the control room AV Peake had 62 circuits that called for a reliable power control solution.
The control room features an Allen & Heath SQ-6 mixing console with two DX168 stage boxes, Powersoft amp for Danley Sound Labs Studio 1 reference monitors and all building audio, a NewTek TriCaster Elite 2 live production system, Blackmagic Videohub, 16-foot monitor wall with 12 NEC displays as well as the team’s Green-GO COMS, and eight Shure QLX-D talent wireless mics.
“The ability for broadcast teams to go live at any time depends on seamless control and power protection of their AVL systems,” said Mark Bishop, president of LynTec. “The installation at Campbellsville University illustrates how our RPC panel provides invaluable control and protection that improves the performance and lifespan of their AVL systems and fits right into any production workflow.”
