ARK Multicasting Select Comark E-Compact Transmitters For LPTV Repack

Hitachi Kokusai Electric Comark (“COMARK”), has announced that ARK Multicasting Inc. has ordered 56 E-Compact transmitters and associated field services. COMARK will be supplying a mix of EC700MP and EC700HP transmitter systems ranging in output power levels from 250W through 3.3kW for their new channel assignments as part of the LPTV repack requirements.

Since entering the LPTV market back in 2013, COMARK has shipped nearly 500 low power transmitters and encoder systems across the country. E-Compact is a field proven, air-cooled UHF DTV transmitter product line covering power levels from 50W through 13.2kW.

E-Compact features asymmetric broadband Doherty amplifier technology for maximum power efficiency of up to 44%. These transmitters include a built-in web-GUI and SNMP for remote control and monitoring. Hot-swap amplifiers and power supplies are utilized for easy assembly and maintenance, eliminating the need for interconnect cables. The E-Compact product line also features the EXACT-V2 IP Optimized DTV exciter with DualCast technology and is easily upgraded from ATSC 1.0 to 3.0, protecting your investment today for use tomorrow.

“We worked very closely with ARK Multicasting, Inc. over the last several months on their requirements for this repack program.” says Joe Turbolski, VP of Sales and Marketing of Hitachi Kokusai Electric Comark, LLC. “We have the manufacturing capacity, in-country customer service, and field service expertise to help ARK Multicasting deploy these LPTV transmitters for the repack program.”

Joshua Weiss, Co-Founder and CEO of ARK said, “We couldn’t be happier with our experience working with the team at Hitachi Kokusai Electric Comark, LLC. These transmitters are the bedrock of what ARK is building to provide our ATSC 3.0 datacasting services. They aren’t just vendors to us; they are partners in this endeavor.”
