European News Exchange Selects LiveU’s Matrix For Dynamic Live News Content Sharing

LiveU Matrix, the company’s dynamic, IP-based content sharing platform, has been chosen by ENEX – the European News Exchange – to share live news feeds with its members, the world’s leading association of commercial TV news broadcasters. Its members share their news content and their news production resources.

LiveU Matrix, the company’s dynamic, IP-based content sharing platform, has been chosen by ENEX the European News Exchange to share live news feeds with its members, the world’s leading association of commercial TV news broadcasters. Its members share their news content and their news production resources.

ENEX provides nearly 40,000 news videos a year and more than 3,500 live sources to its members. Feeds are quickly and easily selected by ENEX from sources around the world – including the US – with up to four feeds made available.

LiveU Matrix is a highly flexible and cost-effective solution for the newsroom, making live content management simple and affordable and ensuring service reliability and availability. It combines a powerful front-end with a reliable IP cloud-based transport layer, seamlessly integrating into daily workflows, allowing news teams to share and consume high-quality live feeds with multiple internal and cross-organizational end points. It’s offered as a fully managed end-to-end service with proactive monitoring and 24/7 support through LiveU’s NOC (network operations center).

Using Matrix increases the number of live sources for the partner to choose from, with up-to-the-minute live news extremely valuable in terms of viewer engagement. It also facilitates the easier manipulation of multiple live signals for distribution, for example when an event like the recent US Election happens and broadcasters need feeds covering the White House, party HQs and key states counting votes to be available all at the same time.

Adrian Wells, Managing Director ENEX, said, “We’re always looking for ways to deliver more and better services to our partners. LiveU is a very powerful player in IP delivery with many of our stations already familiar with the company. Matrix brings new choices to newsrooms and content sharing. We are delighted with this new initiative.”

Zion Eilam, VP Sales, EMEA, LiveU, added, “LiveU Matrix use has significantly grown over the past year with the latest LiveU data showing a 100 percent increase in usage for global content sharing. More and more content providers and broadcasters around the world are also turning to Matrix. Customers tap into it for its usability, which was designed from the ground up with broadcasters in mind, providing rich functionality and cost-effectiveness while never compromising on service reliability and availability. We’re very pleased that ENEX has selected this platform to increase flexibility while also lowering the cost.”
