Founded at a time when the only recording solutions available to artists and engineers were either  expensive or generally poor quality, RØDE set out to change the status quo, offering world-class musical recording tools for everyone. A decade later it recognized a similar trend in the emerging independent video market and launched the original VideoMic, which quickly became the defacto standard for on-camera audio.

Over the years RØDE has grown its product range to cover all areas of broadcast audio, including lavalier and headset microphones, shotguns and presentation microphones, as well as high-quality accessories.
